Since I teach from high school level, I always like to first understand what my learners already know so that I can know how to approach my lesson and easily identify my weak and strong learners. I than explain concepts and give my learners an activity to check their understanding and thereafter, I do corrections so that they understand where they went wrong and how to do things better the next time approached with the same question. I use a lot of previous question papers to prepare learners for exams because what tend to happens is that learners will understand the concept and find it difficult to apply the knowledge in the exam. I believe practice makes perfect and this requires a lot of patience from me.
