About Lila

I am online English teacher and I came from London in England, where I was born and raised. I have a good standard of education, where I have achieved a BA Honours in Geography and Development Studies, MA in Environment and Development Studies and PGCE IN TESOL.

I have had several years of experience of teaching English online to children, teenagers and adults in a classroom setting, private tutoring and online. I have been teaching online since the year 2014, teaching subjects such as Daily English, Business English, Teenage English, Pre-entry Cambridge English and preparation for International examinations such as IELTS, TOEFL and Cambridge examinations. I have the experience of teaching in groups and in one to one sessions. Importantly I have the experience of teaching from pre-entry to advance level learners.

About the lesson

As part of my teaching, I will be using my own teaching resources that I developed over the years, such as my own worksheets and power-points which cater learning materials for pre-entry to advance levels, where in each lesson, you will have the opportunity to practice your reading, speaking, listening and writing skills. Furthermore I have lesson plans that are based on English reading materials only, English speaking and listening materials only and English writing materials only.

In my lessons, I will incorporate different learning and teaching strategies, to ensure that learners get to practice, speaking, listening and reading skills. I often get learners to read from the teaching materials and do learning activities such as role-plays, discussions and filling gap activities. Importantly I use teaching crops to aid my teaching, such as the blackboard to learn new letters and words. Flashcards to reinforce new vocabulary and cut out paper to teach students about shapes and colours.

Details

My hourly rate regardless of learner's level is 12.00 pounds per hour.

I will be adding travel expenses if I travel to learner's home, however if it is done online it is free.

I do offer a 10 percent discount for five or ten hours of lessons that you buy.
