About Christopher
I am a professional (OCT-certified) ESL teacher from Hamilton, Ontario in Canada. I have an Honours BA in English and History through the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Education degree from Queen's University. I completed my TEFL certification through the Via Lingua School in Florence, Italy. I have taught English in Italy, Vietnam, and the Philippines. Currently, I am a volunteer English Tutor with the Newcomer's Learning Centre.

I focus on practical skills that you can use in your academic and personal life. I use a number of different activities, games, and approaches to ensure that your education is balanced and comprehensive. I teach speaking, listening, reading, writing, and grammar. As a language learner myself, I know the difficulties of learning a new language and I take that into account when planning lessons and tutoring. I am happy to take new students for tutoring or for formal instruction in English. I am also able to tutor high school students struggling with English and history.
