About Kateryna

If you are here, it means that you have a clear goal: to be part of the international community without feeling incapable of expressing yourself and understanding others. Perfect, because your goal is mine too: for years I have been teaching English to people of all ages trying to achieve the desired result in the shortest possible time so that they can become autonomous as soon as possible. Who I am? I am a professional teacher, I have been teaching adults and teenagers for over 17 years. I have a TKT certificate (all three modules). I offer three types of courses: 1. Cambridge English exams (FCE, CAE), 2. Business Communication, 3. General English. Lessons take place online via Skype or Whatsapp. How do you get started? The first step is to set up a 45-minute free trial lesson that will allow us to get to know each other (and you to see if my method is suitable for your needs). The type of course and the starting level are established (A1, A2, B1, etc.). Following I send you the program of your course with the times indicated for each module: in this way you will know exactly on which themes we will work and in how much time, and you will be able (if you want) to add others or eliminate some that you do not consider important. After your OK and the confirmation of the program we leave! :)

About the lesson

MATERIALS: I create them for each specific course. They are in the .docx format and can be downloaded from the platform that I use as the basis for my 'English school'. :) For each unit there are also audio tracks and video files relevant to the theme. The units contain communicative tasks, vocabulary and grammar exercises, listening and reading practice. APPROACH: personalized and depends on the course objective. For example, the General English course aims to learn to communicate in English, and in this case we talk a lot during the lessons, and every single 'theoretical' thing is immediately applied in oral practice. If instead the goal is to prepare to support FCE, we must learn strategies for Use of English, Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening (and they are many!), And do as much 'training' as possible to make them automatic. In this case we talk less and practice more. :) In addition, I take into consideration the trainee's personality and I always try to exploit his strengths in learning by using suitable psychological techniques.
