About Raymu

I’m Raymu, a professional singer, recording artist, vocal coach, and Nigerian Idol Season 10 First Runner-Up.

I have over 8 years of experience coaching singers internationally, working with students from different backgrounds, ages and levels of experience.

My approach is practical and personalized. I help singers understand their voices, identify what is holding them back, and develop the technique and confidence to sing more freely.

I work with beginners who are learning how to use their voices, experienced singers looking to refine their technique, recording artists preparing songs, performers preparing for the stage, and anyone who simply wants to become a better singer.

My areas of focus include:

• Chest voice, head voice and mix

I also understand the realities of performing and recording because I actively work as a recording artist myself.

My lessons are a judgment-free space where you can experiment, make mistakes, ask questions and develop at your own pace. You don’t need to already be a great singer to start. You simply need a willingness to learn.

About the lesson

Every lesson is built around your voice and your specific goals.

We start by identifying what you want to improve and assessing how your voice currently works. From there, I use targeted vocal exercises and immediately apply them to real songs.

A typical lesson can include:
• Warm-ups and vocal coordination
• Breathing and support exercises
• Pitch and vocal control
• Range development
• Chest, head and mixed voice coordination • Falsetto and upper-register work
• Vocal agility, runs and riffs
• Tone and resonance
• Song interpretation and phrasing
• Performance technique and confidence

You won’t simply be given a list of exercises and sent away. We work on the technique, then apply it directly to the music you want to sing.

If you’re preparing for a recording, audition, performance or specific song, we can structure the lesson around that goal.

I also provide exercises and practical guidance for you to continue working between sessions. I teach beginners, intermediate singers, advanced singers and professional/aspiring recording artists.

The first lesson is free and gives us an opportunity to discuss your goals, work with your voice and determine the best direction for your training.
