About Elizabeth

My first experience tutoring was when I was 9 years old and taught my French cousin conversational English in just two weeks! From then on, I knew the profession was for me (she went on to study English and linguistics at university). I hold a degree in Policy, Politics, and Economics, am a tech-founder, and run a lifestyle blog so I have plenty of experience in written English. I also have a passion for languages, speaking three fluently and learning (to varying degrees) French, Mandarin, and Portuguese. Let's talk if you would like to improve your English!

About the lesson

I believe that anyone can learn a new language, no matter what age they are! I have experience teaching all ages from 4 to 40+ so the approach will vary depending on the tutee's age. The first stage would be to assess where you are regarding spoken English. From there, we will identify the topics that require most work (e.g. spelling, grammar, reading comprehension) and tailor our lessons around these. My aim is to help you to get the most out of each session so I have a unique approach depending on the student's learning style.
