About Elsie
I am an ESL tutor with 14 years of experience teaching high school and college students. I have guided 150–200 students to improve their English skills and gain confidence in communication. My teaching philosophy is centred on personalised learning, active participation, and practical application of language skills. I make lessons interactive, engaging, and connected to real-life situations.
I encourage students to speak freely, ask questions, and practice consistently. Many of my students have improved their fluency, academic performance, and self-confidence. I follow a student-centred and creative approach to teaching ESL. My methodology combines critical thinking, mentorship, and accountability. Lessons are interactive, engaging, and practical, using activities like debates, storytelling, and role-plays to help students think critically and speak confidently.
As a mentor, I provide personalised guidance, feedback, and encouragement, helping students reach their goals and stay motivated. Accountability is emphasised, so students take responsibility for their learning and monitor their progress.
