About West
I am a patient and supportive math tutor who understands what it feels like to struggle academically.
Early in my education, math did not come easily to me. I had to rebuild my understanding step by step through discipline and consistent practice. That experience shaped how I teach today. I focus on clarity, structure, and creating a space where students feel comfortable asking questions without fear of judgment.
Over time, that persistence led me to build strong analytical skills and pursue a career in engineering. My professional background has strengthened my ability to think logically, break down complex problems, and explain concepts clearly.
I take tutoring seriously. I prepare for each session, track student progress, and communicate clearly with both students and parents when needed.
My goal is simple. Help students build real understanding, grow in confidence, and become independent problem solvers.

**My Teaching Approach**
I help students who feel stuck, behind, or discouraged by math.
I struggled with math early on and had to rebuild my understanding step by step. Because of that experience, I teach patiently and focus on clarity. I identify exactly where confusion begins and rebuild the foundation from there.
My goal is not just to finish homework but to build real understanding and confidence.
**My Methodology**
Each session follows a clear structure:
1. Identify the exact concept causing difficulty
2. Break it into simple logical steps
3. Work through guided examples
4. Practice independently with feedback
5. Reinforce understanding until confident
Students learn why methods work, not just how to get answers.
**A Typical Lesson**
A 60 minute session includes:
• Short review of current challenges
• Clear explanation of the key concept
• Guided problem solving
• Independent practice and recap
If preparing for a test, we focus on exam style questions and time management.
**What Sets Me Apart**
I was not naturally strong in math. I had to work hard to truly understand it. That experience helps me recognize where students get stuck and how to fix it clearly.
