About Antonieta

Hello! I’m Antonieta, an Econometrician and Data Scientist with professional experience in quantitative analysis, statistical modelling, economics and data science.

Throughout my career, I have applied mathematics, statistics and analytical thinking to solve real-world problems. I bring that practical experience into my teaching, helping students understand not only **how** to solve a problem, but **why** the method works.

I bring concepts to life by connecting mathematics, statistics and economics to real-world applications. Where appropriate, I can show students how the techniques they are learning are used in industry, university and data science.

Clear, structured and supportive teaching
Quantitative subjects can sometimes feel overwhelming. My approach is patient and structured: I break difficult concepts into manageable steps, identify gaps in understanding and build confidence progressively. Questions are always welcome.

Understanding rather than memorisation
I want students to understand the reasoning behind a method rather than simply memorising formulas. This helps develop the mathematical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills needed both in examinations and beyond.

Teaching tailored to your goals
Whether you are a GCSE student building confidence in mathematics, an A-Level student preparing for exams and university, or an undergraduate studying economics, econometrics, statistics or data science, I will adapt the sessions to your level, needs and objectives.

My aim is simple: **to make challenging quantitative subjects clearer, more manageable and more interesting — while helping you develop the confidence to solve problems independently.**

About the lesson

My Teaching Approach & Methodology

Active, Problem-Solving Focus: Lessons are highly interactive. We work through concepts step-by-step, breaking down complex multi-mark questions into manageable logical steps.

Tailored to the Student: I identify personal learning gaps early on and adapt my pace, whether a student needs foundational rebuilding or stretch-and-challenge exam preparation.

Exam Technique & Application: We focus heavily on mark schemes, common examiner traps, and structuring clear, concise mathematical solutions.

Lesson Structure & Length

Standard Lessons: Typically 60 minutes, which provides the ideal balance for detailed concept explanation, guided practice, and independent student attempts.

Extended Sessions: 90-minute or 2-hour sessions are available upon request, ideal for university module preparation, intensive revision, or assignment troubleshooting.

Qualifications & Experience

Professional Expertise: As an active Econometrician and Data Scientist, I use advanced mathematics, statistical modelling, and data analysis daily in industry.

Academic Foundation: Solid academic background in quantitative disciplines, allowing me to teach higher-level concepts (such as calculus, probability, linear algebra, and econometrics) with complete fluency.
