About Vilakshan
I am a professional classical guitarist and composer with experience in performance, composition, and music production. My work spans Western classical music, solo guitar repertoire, orchestral composition, and contemporary musical styles, giving me a broad and practical understanding of music as both an art form and a discipline.
I believe learning the classical guitar should go beyond simply playing notes. My goal as a teacher is to help students develop strong technical foundations, musical sensitivity, confidence, and a deeper understanding of expression and interpretation.
I enjoy working with students of different levels and helping them progress at their own pace through a structured yet encouraging learning environment. Whether someone is learning classical guitar for personal growth, performance, examinations, or serious musical development, I aim to make the learning process meaningful, disciplined, and inspiring.

I teach classical guitar with a focus on technique, tone, musicality, interpretation, and overall artistic understanding. Classes are designed according to the student’s level and goals, whether they are complete beginners or advanced players looking to refine their performance and expression.
Along with learning pieces, students will also develop proper posture, right and left hand technique, finger independence, rhythm, dynamics, phrasing, and musical interpretation. My approach is structured but flexible, aiming to build strong fundamentals while keeping the learning process musical and inspiring.
As a professional guitarist and composer, I also help students understand music beyond just notes and technique, encouraging deeper listening, expression, and confidence in performance.
