About Jenny

I have 12 years of teaching experience as a classroom teacher in the UK, in nursery and primary schools in France and Spain, and as a private tutor both in the UK and abroad. In addition to this, I have worked as an English as a Foreign Language tutor in a language college. I have a PGCE in primary education and TEFL qualifications and I now work exclusively as a private tutor in York offering maths, English, and Spanish tuition to schooled and home-educated pupils. I also tutor for the 11+ entrance exams and in preparation for the KS2 SATS.

About the lesson

I have experience in teaching all age groups from early primary to adults, of planning lessons, and carrying out assessments. I know how to encourage all students to achieve their full potential and believe that appropriate challenge and encouraging an enjoyment of learning is the key towards achieving success.

I have a positive outlook and aim to develop a good rapport with all pupils and create a cooperative and calm atmosphere. I strive to deliver exciting and engaging lessons using familiar, real-life experiences, fun games, and tailored resources using a variety of teaching methods best-suited to each child. I am patient and flexible with my time, and I am willing to persevere in order to ensure that all students have fun whilst succeeding in reaching their goals.
