About Zahra
I am a 21-year-old student in my final year of university at St. Mary's University studying the course BA Primary Education with QTS. I will soon be a qualified primary school teacher. I am very hardworking and dedicated to my students because I find new and interesting ways for them to learn rather than always sticking to paper and pencil which can get mundane at times. I understand that parents want their children to learn in the best way possible and I would be happy to facilitate that process.
Throughout my three years at university I have had the opportunity to visit primary schools for numerous weeks on my placements. I have had the pleasure of working alongside teachers, teaching assistants, and other members of the school. I have also taught many lessons and worked with classroom teachers to make my lessons more exciting in order to keep children engaged.
I myself am half-British and half-Pakistani so I can speak many languages which include English, Urdu, Punjabi, and some French too. Therefore, I would be able to help an EAL child learn English in a fun way and maybe allow them to come out of their shell and become able to communicate with their peers and teachers more effectively.

I like to assess where the child is at first and then I like to see what the child needs to learn from there. I also think it is best to teach primary school children, if not everyone, in a fun and engaging manner so children develop positive mindsets to learning.
