About Lillian
I am newer to tutoring, three years in with 140 students taught, but I bring boundless energy and genuine playfulness to every single lesson I run. My own interest in ESL teaching grew from volunteering casually, never from a formal classroom, and that shapes everything about how I teach today. I believe joy is not separate from learning, it is the engine that actually drives it forward reliably. Students tell me our sessions feel like the best part of their week, not a chore squeezed into a busy schedule. I measure success in genuine excitement to keep going, not test scores alone.

My ESL lessons feel more like play than study, since I firmly believe laughter and curiosity teach far more than any rigid worksheet ever could manage alone. We sing along to English songs, play word games, and invent silly stories together, letting vocabulary sneak in through joy rather than memorization pressure. I never correct mid sentence, since interrupting a student's giggling attempt kills the very curiosity that makes learning stick naturally. Grammar arrives disguised as a game, something we discover together rather than something delivered from a textbook at them. Every lesson includes at least one moment of genuine, unplanned laughter, because I have found that joy is the fastest route to real fluency.
