About Aaron

I have a BA Drama and Theatre Studies degree and currently studying to become a Drama and Theatre Studies teacher.

I have worked as a play club assistant during my A-levels and GCSE studies. During this time, I worked closely with children aged 0 to 11 and completed work experience in a primary and secondary school. Here I learnt how to manage a classroom, understand the learning needs of the pupils and gained such enjoyment from working with young people.

During my university studies, I actively took part in public performances improving my practical skills whilst applying my new found theory to the work. Both experiences encouraged me to thrive as an educator, gaining more knowledge on the needs and wants of young children.

About the lesson

Training as a PGCE student in 2019/20 I am an aspiring Drama and Theatre Studies teacher training during the new cutting-edge curriculum reform in Wales.

I believe strongly in blended teaching methods, a cross-curricular approach and encouraging a growth mindset. The concept of independent learning as we know it, is something that will change education in Wales dramatically for the better and it is something I aspire to push in all of my students. Young adults are capable of choosing their educational pathway with the correct encouragement and support both at home and in educational facilities.

Education is the most important tool a person has access too when used in the correct way, which I believe has been foreshadowed by the concept of statistics and negative support.

During my lessons and in all of my resources, I will strive to provide interesting, modern and engaging content whilst encouraging my learners to develop their knowledge and beliefs in a way that'll not only benefit their grades; but their ability to learn independently and become ethically informed citizens.
My lessons will contain visual, audio and directive teaching, as well as plenty of peer, self and teacher assessed homework, help and extra research for my students to enjoy.

I am aware that there is a differentiation in levels of learning and understanding amongst students. I will ensure that whatever my student needs are, they will be covered and I will go through the subject matter in a way that enables them to benefit the most through my lessons and resources.

Details

As a PGCE student, all my lessons will be at the same price for one-on-one and group sessions. All will last an hour for any level of tutoring. This experience is not for money earning alone, it will be a new experience for me to tutor one on one, which is the reasoning for one set price. Downloadable worksheets and resources will vary on price.

All services are free during the COVID-19 outbreak.
