About Sawan
My name is Sawan, and I believe that excellence is a habit that spans every facet of life. I am a Computational Data Science major and Statistics minor at Pennsylvania State University, where I balance the technical rigor of AI research with high-level performance in both athletics and the arts.
What defines my approach is a relentless drive for mastery. Whether I am architecting MLOps feedback loops for code generation or traveling across the country to perform as a singer with my university acappella group, Fanna, I bring 100% of my focus to the task at hand. As a Division 1 athlete on the Penn State Cricket Team, I’ve learned that success in the classroom—much like on the field—comes down to disciplined practice and a clear strategy.
I have walked the path of high-stakes academic success, having completed 13 AP courses (including Calculus BC and the full Physics sequence) and earning top scores by mastering the "logic" of the exam. My goal is to pass that mindset on to you. When I’m not in the lab or the library, you’ll find me playing the guitar or singing, hobbies that keep my creative problem-solving sharp. I don’t just teach students how to solve equations; I mentor them to become multifaceted high-achievers who approach any challenge with confidence, logic, and creativity.

The Architect’s Edge: Master Math & Physics with a Penn State AI Researcher:-
My name is Sawan, and I don’t just teach equations—I build the systems that run on them. As a Junior at Penn State University majoring in Computational Data Science and Statistics, my life is defined by high-stakes problem-solving. Whether I am architecting AI-driven feedback loops for code generation or competing as an NCAA athlete on the Penn State Cricket Team, I operate at the intersection of discipline and elite technical mastery.
What Sets Me Apart?
Most tutors know the material, but very few have engineered it. My background is a "Triple Threat" designed to give you an unfair advantage:
1. Real-World Mastery: I have spent my internships building cloud-native microservices and AI pipelines that process thousands of data points per second. When we talk about $F = ma$ or $\int f(x) \, dx$, I’m showing you how those concepts power autonomous systems and financial markets.
2. The Athlete’s Discipline: My experience in D1 athletics means I bring a "coaching" mindset to tutoring. We don't just "study"; we train for peak performance, mental clarity, and confidence under the pressure of a ticking clock.
3. Academic Excellence: Having conquered 13 AP classes (including AP Calculus BC and the Full Physics Sequence) with mostly 5s, and completing Multivariable Calculus in my first year of college, I know exactly where the pitfalls are and how to avoid them.
My Teaching Methodology: First Principles & Momentum
I believe that confusion is just a lack of structure. My approach removes the "magic" from math and replaces it with logic:
1. The "First Principles" Approach: We break complex topics down into their most basic truths. Once you understand the why, you never have to memorize the how.
2. The Gauntlet Method: We move quickly from theory to high-intensity problem-solving. We tackle the hardest problems first so the exam feels like a breeze.
3. The MLOps Strategy: Just like in my research, we use a feedback-loop system. We identify your specific "bugs" in logic, patch them, and test again until your accuracy is 99%+.
A Typical Elite Session
0-10m: The Diagnostic Heatmap. A rapid-fire review of previous concepts to ensure zero knowledge decay.
10-30m: The Core Breakthrough. Introduction of new concepts using real-world AI/Engineering analogies.
30-50m: The Gauntlet. Solving Tier-3 (Hard) problems using structured frameworks.
50-60m: The Strategy Wrap-up. Reviewing "Exam Traps" and setting the "Mission Objectives" (homework) for the week.
Who Is This For?
I specialize in high-performers and students who are ready to level up:
- High School: AP Calculus (AB/BC), AP Physics (1, 2, C), and AP Statistics.
- College: Calculus I, II, & III, Linear Algebra, and Intro to Data Science/ML.
- Aspiring Engineers: Students who want to build a portfolio while mastering their coursework.
Ready to stop "surviving" your classes and start dominating them? Let’s get to work.
