About Vic Qi
I’m Vic Qi, a pattern artist exploring the relationship between geometry, nature, and creative expression. My practice combines hand-drawn geometric structures, organic forms, and freeform patterns, inspired by the natural rhythms and repeating structures found in the world around us.
My journey began with an exploration of sacred geometry and geometric principles, which gradually evolved into a more intuitive process of drawing, observing, and creating. I enjoy balancing structure with spontaneity, allowing patterns to emerge through both intentional design and free-flowing expression.
Beyond creating art, I see pattern-making as a practice of attention, self-discovery, and connection. Through drawing and repetition, we can slow down, observe our thoughts, explore our creativity, and discover unexpected possibilities.
I’m interested in bringing patterns beyond paper into textiles, wood, and experiential spaces, creating artworks and creative experiences that invite people to reconnect with themselves and their surroundings.
My vision is to make pattern art accessible as both an artistic practice and a way of experiencing the world, one line, shape, and pattern at a time.

My approach combines structured guidance with intuitive exploration, allowing you to develop your skills while discovering your own artistic style. You don't need prior drawing experience or exceptional artistic skills, just curiosity and a willingness to experiment.
