About Andres

Mathematics doesn't have to be overwhelming or stressful! As an industrial engineer, I focus on making math easy to understand through clear explanations, step-by-step problem-solving, and practical real-world applications.

My goal is to help elementary and middle school students build logical thinking skills, improve their grades, and develop genuine confidence in their abilities. Every session is personalized to match the student's learning speed and school curriculum.

I am a passionate industrial engineer who has been tutoring math for several years, starting by helping high school and university peers before transitioning into 1-on-1 personalized tutoring.

I strongly believe in the principle that teaching is the best way to keep learning. My engineering background allows me to break down complex concepts into simple, structured steps, helping young students not just memorize formulas but truly understand the "why" behind them.

About the lesson

My classes are interactive, goal-oriented, and personalized for every student. I start by identifying the specific gaps in understanding, then craft a clear learning plan using visual examples, real-world problems, and practical exercises. I place a strong emphasis on critical reasoning and problem-solving strategies, helping young learners develop study habits that make math easier and far more enjoyable.

1st Lesson Free (30 mins): I offer a free initial session to assess the student's current level, discuss learning goals, and ensure we are a great fit.

Travel Surcharge (If applicable): Lessons held online or at a local library/public space are at the base rate. For in-person lessons at your home, a small travel fee (+$5 to +$10 per session) may apply depending on the distance.

Package Discounts: Discounted rates are available when booking 5 or 10-hour lesson packs in advance.
