About Sarah

Hello! I’m a Colorado-certified math teacher with experience teaching middle and high school mathematics, including Algebra and Integrated Math. I am passionate about helping students build confidence by truly understanding the concepts behind the math, not just memorizing procedures.

I believe every student can succeed with the right support, patience, and encouragement. My goal is to create a positive, welcoming environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing as learners. Whether you’re preparing for a test, catching up in class, or looking to get ahead, I’m excited to help you reach your goals and discover that math can actually be enjoyable!

About the lesson

My lessons are engaging, interactive, and tailored to each student’s unique learning style. I focus on helping students understand how we arrive at the answer rather than simply memorizing steps. I believe learning happens best when students feel comfortable asking questions, so I build trusting relationships through patience, encouragement, and creativity. Together, we develop confidence, critical thinking skills, and a deeper understanding of mathematics that lasts beyond a single assignment or test.

Sarah is a natural teacher and an expert in her field. She relates well to students at all levels and is able to individualize her instruction - even in a classroom setting. Students respond well to her and are motivated to exceed expectations. She offers positive feedback, even when students make mistakes. All in all, Sarah is one of the best teachers I have ever encountered. Your student would be fortunate indeed to have Sarah as his/her tutor!
