About Frances

I have experience teaching learners from age 6 to 60, from beginners to advanced students, in both private and group settings.
Over the past year I have been teaching online with an international education company, so I have plenty of experience in adapting materials for the online classroom. I was also one of the highest-rated teachers in my company across the whole of the UK!
I have helped students gain confidence, succeed in job interviews, and pass their IELTS exams. Whatever your goals are, I would love to help you achieve them.

About the lesson

I want to give my students the skills and confidence to communicate in the real world - not just in the classroom. I therefore like to base my lessons around real-life scenarios and current affairs. I also know that motivation to study is so much higher when you actually enjoy it! That's why I like to get to know my students' interests and preferences, and use those to design personalised lessons that make learning feel like fun.

I make sure to create a warm and welcoming environment for students where you can feel comfortable asking questions and expressing yourself fully. You will learn a lot with me, but my classes shouldn't feel like hard work!

I can teach:
- general English
- academic English
- business English

I can also help with exam preparation for tests like the IELTS, and I can offer one-off lessons/short courses to work on specific areas of your language, such as grammar or pronunciation.

In addition to your lessons, I will also offer exercises for you to do in your own time, as well as useful resources to help you improve even more.
