Hey there! I’m a real-life 6th grade math teacher, and I totally get that math can feel confusing or even overwhelming sometimes. But here’s the good news—it doesn’t have to be! I specialize in helping students just like you understand math in a way that actually makes sense. Whether you’re working on fractions, decimals, equations, or getting ready for Algebra, I’m here to explain things clearly, break down tricky steps, and show you strategies that really work. My lessons are personalized just for you. We’ll go at your pace, focus on what you need, and take the pressure off. I’ll help you build your skills, boost your confidence, and maybe even have some fun with math along the way. I’m an experienced teacher, so I know what your classes are covering and how to help you succeed—not just on your homework or tests, but in really getting the material. About the lesson

As a current 6th grade math teacher with experience in all areas of math up through Algebra, I specialize in building strong foundational skills while making math approachable and engaging for every learner.

My Teaching Method & Techniques:
I believe that students learn best when they feel confident and supported, so I focus on breaking down complex concepts into manageable, relatable steps. I use a blend of visual aids, real-world examples, and interactive problem-solving to keep lessons engaging. My approach is student-centered—meaning I adjust my teaching style to fit each student's needs, pace, and learning preferences.

A Typical Lesson Plan:
Each session starts with a quick warm-up or review to assess understanding and build confidence. From there, we’ll dive into the core lesson, whether that’s mastering fractions, solving equations, or tackling word problems. I include guided practice, independent work, and time for questions. At the end, we’ll review key takeaways and set goals for the next session.

As an actively teaching educator, I stay up-to-date on current curriculum standards and understand exactly what students are expected to know—and where they often struggle.
