About Carli
I am currently an Administration Manager in a specialist Aviation Academy that trains students from all over the world in Air Traffic Control. English is the universal language for aviation therefore all of our students must speak a required level of English for their work.
I have been working here for over 2 years and love meeting all the different students from all the different countries. I am passionate about sharing cultures, learning new languages and helping to teach my own language to others. I have spent the last 6 months gaining teaching experience, working towards my CELTA so that i can teach English as a foreign language. I love it!

My preferred method of teaching is to take a chosen topic and encourage students to engage in conversation around that topic. Learning key survival phrases with a focus on everyday language and making yourself understood in everyday situations. I encourage active discussion and enjoy group work as students learn alot from each other. Language is constantly changing and evolving, especially informal or slang words. Confidence is key. I have a very calm and positive approach to teaching, always happy and smiling and my approach helps students to feel relaxed and free to practice their language skills without feeling embarrassed.
