About Ceveagh

I have taught over 1500 students in Italy, Spain, Hungary, Ireland and the UK, specifically London, in language schools, and academic colleges during my ten years of experience.

I'm based in London and coach individuals from all backgrounds and industries, such as CEOs, bankers, hospitality workers, writers, developers, architects, directors, musicians, engineers, teachers and university students.

I primarily specialise in Business English and Medical English and run in-house programmes for partner businesses including curriculum design.
I tutor professionals studying at postgraduate level and additionally coach essential skills to complement English study, such as Time Management in relation to workload.

My extensive experience and business background means that my approach to teaching is guidance driven, relevant and highly organised. I love my work, find it extremely rewarding and am thoroughly invested in seeing my students succeed in achieving their goals.

About the lesson

I favour the communicative method, which is based on the idea that learning language successfully comes through having to communicate real meaning. When learners are involved in real communication, their natural strategies for language acquisition will be used, and this will allow them to learn to use the language, for example, introducing yourself to a classmate or myself by answering questions and asking questions involves real communication as opposed to just reading about 'how to make introductions' in a book.

In our first lesson, we will get to know each other and this helps me understand your level and what you would like to achieve in the lessons.

I will create a personalised lesson programme for you based on your needs and preferences with my guidance.

I regularly check your progress so that you know that you are progressing in your English skills.

I use an online learning platform, which allows me to interact with students sharing material and gives students the opportunity to study online also with homework materials. This ensures that lessons are very organised, detailed, with a logical structure and relevant.

I believe it is important to try to understand your students as a tutor and having been a language student for most of my life (and still learning other languages!), I feel that I can relate to how my students feel and what concerns they may have. It is important to me that students are happy with my classes and I aim to help with the achievement of goals in an encouraging learning environment.
