About Peicen
I believe people can connect in many ways, and language is only one of them.
As an art student, I have always been interested in how people share stories, ideas, and feelings through images, gestures, and everyday interactions. To me, drawing is not simply a skill or a way to create art. It is also a way of communicating and connecting with others.
This is the kind of environment I hope to create in my lessons. I want students to feel free to communicate in different ways, whether through drawing, conversation, or simply showing me what they are thinking.
I enjoy discovering how each person sees the world, and I hope my lessons can be a space where students can express themselves, exchange ideas, and enjoy creating together.

Mandarin
I teach primarily in Mandarin and encourage students to communicate in Chinese throughout the lesson. Drawing is used as a visual aid to support communication and understanding, rather than replacing conversation.
When students encounter unfamiliar vocabulary or have difficulty expressing an idea, I may use simple drawings, visual examples, or storytelling to help them understand the meaning and continue communicating in Mandarin. I avoid using translation unless it is genuinely necessary.
Lessons can include drawing practice, creative exploration, conversation, and discussion. I adjust the balance according to each student's interests, goals, and level.
Students of all ages and skill levels are welcome, including complete beginners. Each lesson lasts approximately 60 minutes.
