About Maia

I’m a native German speaker living in Ireland, and I’m passionate about teaching the German language.

One of the most important parts of learning a language, in my opinion, is having a relaxed and supportive space where students feel comfortable speaking without worrying about making mistakes. Learning a new language can feel intimidating at first, so I believe patience, encouragement, and natural conversation are very important.

I also focus on grammar and the logic behind the language (if that is what the student would like to do), because I believe that once German begins to “make sense,” it becomes much easier to learn, understand, and remember — even years later.

About the lesson

My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual level, goals, and learning style. I aim to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable speaking and learning at their own pace.

Lessons may include conversation practice, grammar explanations, pronunciation, reading exercises, and everyday German used in real-life situations. I adapt the lessons depending on whether a student wants to improve speaking skills, prepare for exams, build confidence, or simply learn German for personal interest or travel.
