About Leonie

Growing up in Germany and moving to London for university was a massive milestone. Speaking and sharing my native language is incredibly important to me—it allows me to stay connected to my roots while helping others to discover my culture.

Teaching has been a core part of my life for a long time. I started out as a teenager working as a swimming coach, which taught me how to be patient, encouraging, and highly adaptable to different learning styles. During my school years, I also tutored fellow students in both German and Latin.

Today, I work professionally as an architectural engineer. Alongside my career, I have continued my passion for education by tutoring students at various universities across the UK. Whether I am teaching technical engineering concepts or the nuances of my native language, I love helping people build confidence, overcome academic challenges, and achieve their full potential.

About the lesson

My lessons are completely tailored to your personal goals, whether you are a complete beginner or looking to practise advanced conversation, or practising for German tests. As a native speaker, I focus on practical communication, building your confidence, and perfecting your pronunciation. In a typical lesson, we will combine structured grammar review, engaging speaking exercises, and useful real-world vocabulary. I love sharing cultural insights about Germany to make our sessions both highly effective and fun. I am happy to teach online via webcam or meet in-person across Central and West London.
