About Lea

I am a 21 year old Acting student in Edinburgh and am originally from Germany. If you take German classes in school and need help studying for your exams or with your homework, I am more than happy to help.

About the lesson

I think it is important that you learn in a pressureless, fun environment because that is when the brain learns the easiest. I know that German can be a tough subject but it gets a lot easier if you learn it the way a native speaker would- by hearing it, and having someone talk to you in the language. When I learned English I made the most progress by listening to people actually speaking it. Conversing with a native speaker makes you wrap your head around the language in no time. Of course, to do that you need a basic understanding of the grammar first. I took German as an advanced course in my A-levels and my mother is a german teacher in Germany. So I have a deep understanding of the grammar and am able to explain it in detail. I am a very patient and enthusiastic person and am determined to make you fall in love with the german language.

Lea has such a way with teaching and her approach, it makes lessons easy and not hard to follow which can be the case with some.

She understands my needs during lessons and accommodates appropriately, which is just the height of professionalism.

She helped me set goals for my learning and I am now quite confident I can hold my own against many others.

I was a bit skeptical going into the lessons as I have had tutors in the past, but none as good as her. I will most definitely be back to learn more from Lea. What an absolute pleasure.
