About Lindsay
I study Linguistics and Modern Languages at UOttawa. I can offer all types of language-learning strategies for all types of learners, as well as accent reduction based on Canadian English phonemes. I will provide and encourage participation in ESL penpal programs, English conversation groups and more, which can be done outside our individual and group sessions.

The best method of acquisition for a 2nd language is the same one as the first. My teaching methods are based on the brain’s ability to hear the usage of a word and, after hearing it multiple times and in multiple different contexts, gaining a competence with the word itself. Of course, this is no substitute for spending time with the vocabulary and difficult grammar points. The result is a mixture of simultaneous meetings and assignments outside of “class time” that are geared towards developing mastery of spoken and written English.

Perfect! Very professional and dedicated.
Perfect! My son simply used one word to describe Lindsay " She is a professional" coming from my son?
I can't wait for their academic journey to start.Perfect! Lindsay is a great tutor. She is patient and has very good techniques to help me correct my pronunciation. She tailors all the lessons to my needs and find extra resources for me to practice outside of class too. I highly recommend Lindsay if you want to improve your English speaking skills (my main focus).
