About Alex

Teaching has been my first and only career, and my lifelong goal is to become a professor. I have a passion for connecting with others by sharing knowledge and insight with people of all backgrounds. I have traveled the world to teach English in many countries to learn about other cultures and to educate them about English language and culture. I also understand that learning a new language is difficult and requires patience and empathy. I know it can make many feel nervous, which is why I seek to establish a fun, easy to learn, stress-free environment catered to each students individual needs and preference. I am eager and dedicated to get started and I can't wait to meet.

About the lesson

I offer a fun, stress-free environment for students of all ages and skill levels to learn and develop their English skills. As a native English speaker with 8 years of teaching experience and teaching certificate, the best approach to learning any language is to divide the lesson into sections with their own goals which are then combined with a consistent theme. A typical lesson follows the format of 20-30 minutes vocabulary, 20-30 minutes grammar, 20-30 minutes vocabulary/grammar combined speaking & listening. Lessons usually range from 1-2 hours per lesson. I am have experience with teaching all ages and levels of proficiency and thus my lessons are open to all.
