About Matthew
After completing my post-graduate studies and I began immersing myself in both online and in-person teaching. During my employment as a Teaching Assistant at University, I discovered a passion for teaching and empowering others. I have seen the difficulties experienced by learners facing language barriers and I wish to help others overcome this. I have 2 years of in-person teaching experience involving non-native English learners.
I am a native English speaker with a clear and neutral accent. I have a master’s degree in Science (Marine Biology), as well as a 120 Hour TEFL certification (International Open Academy, 2018). Additionally, I have almost 3 years online ESL teaching experience, having taught more than 1700 classes in this period. (ages 4 – 12). I greatly enjoy spending time and engaging with younger students. I really enjoy the high energy work environment and the ever-changing challenges of adapting to the learners’ abilities.

I provide English lessons to students of all ages and ability levels, using well structured lesson plans to improve vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. I have taught all ages, ranging from 4 years old to university graduate students, and I believe in a personalized approach to each student based on their specific abilities.
