About Cheri

I have been teaching online ESL full time for 4 years now full-time. I hold my Bachelors degree and my TEFL Certificate.

I can teach all levels of English from Beginner level to Advanced/Proficient level. I have taught students from all over the world, mostly from Spain, Italy, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, India, Turkey, Peru, Columbia, India and even French Canadians.I can create lessons to suit your specific goals and needs.

I have the ability to establish long lasting relationships with students, and some students have stayed with me for over 2 years! I seldom have students who don't end up staying and learning with me for a long time :). Its so wonderful to see how students improve and grow in my classes.

Prior to teaching I had 12 years corporate Marketing and Business Positions, so I can also teach Business English, and I can assist students with presentations, meetings, speeches writing etc. I can give you first hand experience and ideas on the correct way to speak and the language to use in Business. I will also help prepare you for job interviews.

I am a great English tutor because I am passionate about my students and I genuinely love seeing them flourish and grow.

About the lesson

My lessons are mostly conversation based, practicing speaking and conversation. I choose really interesting topics and we talk about our ideas on this topic, while learning new vocabulary, I correct grammar and give suggestions to sound more native., it is also a great way to practice simple normal conversation. I customize each lesson for every student, according to their needs, level and goals.

I can also teach Business English, and I can assist students with presentations, meetings, speeches writing etc. With having experience in the corporate industry, I can give you first hand experience and ideas on the correct way to speak and the language to use in Business. I will also help prepare you for job interviews, presentations etc.

This year I have also started teaching accent removal classes, this has been a very exciting project for me, and I would love to share this with you!

I am very passionate, patient and energetic teacher. My main goal is to have the student feeling comfortable, relaxed and enjoying our lesson together.
