Duration & time commitment
12 weeks total.
3 classes/week × 60–75 minutes = ~3.5–4 hours/week in class.
20–30 minutes daily self‑study = ~2–3 hours/week.
Total: ~6–7 hours/week.
Main learning outcomes (by end of 12 weeks)
Learners will be able to:
Greet people, introduce themselves, and ask/answer basic personal questions.
Talk about daily routines, family, food, shopping, directions, and simple plans.
Read and write all basic Devanagari vowels and consonants, and common combinations.
Understand short, slow audio (dialogues, announcements) on familiar topics.
Write short messages, fill simple forms, and compose 4–6 sentence paragraphs.
Use basic grammar: present tense, simple past/future, gender/number agreement, basic postpositions, question words.
Show basic cultural awareness (greetings, politeness, festivals, food etiquette).
