About Mamta

Namaste Parents,

I am a qualified school teacher based in India offering live online classes specifically aligned with New Zealand (NZST) after-school hours. I have years of experience teaching Hindi and Sanskrit to children.

As a teacher and as a mother and grandmother at heart I understand the challenge NRI parents face in keeping their children connected to their mother tongue, values, and cultural identity while living abroad.

My teaching philosophy combines the rigor of structured school academics with the warmth and storytelling of a Nani/Dadi’s lap.

I don't just teach children how to memorize words, I help them understand why our culture and scriptures are meaningful, making language learning an enjoyable, story-filled journey.

About the lesson

My 1 hour interactive classes are structured specifically for children aged 10 to 15 years, keeping screen fatigue away while building strong reading, writing, and speaking skills. I combine the academic rigor of a qualified school teacher with the warm, storytelling approach of a Nani/Dadi to help children connect naturally with their mother tongue.

Course Format: Structured 12-Week Academic Terms (2 classes per week).

Different batches for Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced level students

Class Structure (1 Hour)

05 Mins: Invocation and prayer

15 Mins | Script & Vocabulary: Devanagari letter drills, Matra practice, and phonetic exercises.

15 Mins | Language & Grammar: Sentence formation, tenses, gender rules, and structured reading.

10 Mins | Culture & Speaking Practice: Conversational dialogues, moral stories (Panchatantra and Hitopadesha)

10 Mins: Q&A

05 Mins: Completion prayer

What Your Child Will Learn
Reading and writing Devanagari script with correct pronunciation.

Foundational Hindi grammar (Ling, Vachan, Kaal) simplified for NRI children.

Conversational fluency to speak confidently with family and elders at home.

Cultural grounding through moral stories, festival heritage, and Indian values.

Operational Details
Target Group: NRI Kids aged 10–15 years (New Zealand / NZST after-school hours).

Batch Size: Small, interactive cohorts of 4 to 6 students (or 1-on-1 foundation sessions).

Details

I provide structured term-based curriculum. Each term is of 12 weeks. Student enrolment happens for each term.

This ensures continuity and I can ensure that I am able to provide value and meaningful development for child.

1. First 60-Min Trial class: Free (Assessment & Orientation session).
2. 12-Week Group Term (24 Classes / 60 Mins Each, 2x per week):
3. Term Fee: NZ$ 280 per child
4. Individual 1-on-1 Sessions: NZ$ 15 / hour (available on request for specialized catch-up).

Payment Terms
1. Refund Policy: You can take 50% refund up to week 6 in case you want to opt out from the course and cancel remaining classes.
2. Missed Class Policy: Individual absences will not be refunded or rescheduled. Students will receive class recordings for any missed session.
