About Somya

Hi, I’m Somya—a dedicated and experienced math tutor with a strong academic foundation and a passion for helping students succeed. I majored in Computational Modeling and Data Analytics (CMDA), a math-intensive program that blends applied mathematics, statistics, and computer science. Alongside my major, I earned a minor in Mathematics, further strengthening my analytical and problem-solving skills. During college, I worked as a Teaching Assistant (TA) for three years, supporting students in various math and data-driven courses. This experience deepened my understanding of how to clearly explain complex concepts and adapt to different learning styles. I’ve tutored students in Basic Math, Algebra I & II, Calculus, Linear Algebra, and SAT Math, and I’m comfortable working with learners from middle school through college. I take pride in being patient, approachable, and results-focused. My goal is to help students not just improve their grades, but also build confidence and develop lasting problem-solving skills. Whether you're catching up or aiming ahead, I’ll provide structured, supportive, and personalized lessons that meet your goals. I'm available for tutoring weekdays after 5 PM or any time on weekends.
