About Mary
Doctor Mary Lou Pavlovic has taught English online to adults, (Brazilian) and Chinese children (4-12 years) for three years. She holds a TEFL certificate, and has a doctoral degree from Monash University Melbourne. (2015) She also speaks intermediate Indonesian. She has taught conversational English, business English comprehension, English grammar and vocabulary, writing and English for children.

To begin, I ask what the student is interested in,
(for example, hobbies, or being able to use English professionally or academically). We then build a program based on what the student would like to learn and at the appropriate level--beginners, intermediate or advanced English. We could engage in conversational English, reading or writing skills. I may provide a written text or we could work on a text nominated by the student. Vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and comprehension are addressed throughout the class. For children a range of props and techniques are employed to hold the students' attention.
