About Rommel

I’m a Miami-based multidisciplinary artist with a lifelong passion for art and more than 20 years of experience in graffiti, painting, drawing, mixed media, and contemporary art.

I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Miami, along with a minor in Philosophy, and later completed a Master of Fine Arts in Visual Arts at Miami International University of Art & Design.

Today, I continue to work professionally as an artist from my studio in Miami, developing paintings, sculptures, murals, digital work, and other creative projects. My background combines formal academic training with years of hands-on experience in both studio art and street culture, giving me a broad perspective on the creative process.

I’m fluent in both English and Spanish, and I enjoy working with students from different backgrounds, experience levels, and creative interests.

More than anything, I believe art should be something you can explore with curiosity, confidence, and freedom. My goal is to create a comfortable and professional environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, experiment, develop their skills, and grow into their own creative voice.

About the lesson

My teaching approach combines technical instruction with creative coaching. I believe every student has a different artistic voice, so lessons are personalized around their goals, experience level, interests, and preferred mediums.

A typical lesson may include drawing fundamentals, painting techniques, color theory, composition, mixed media, graffiti techniques, airbrush, digital art, or conceptual development. I also help students understand how to take an idea from its earliest stage through experimentation and into a finished artwork.

Rather than simply teaching students how to copy an image or follow a technique, my goal is to help them understand why certain artistic decisions work and how to develop confidence in making their own.

With an MFA, formal fine-art training, and more than 20 years of experience in graffiti and multidisciplinary art, I bring together academic knowledge and real-world artistic practice.

Lessons are available for beginners, intermediate and advanced students, including aspiring artists, art students, and anyone who wants to develop their creativity and technical skills.

Whatever you feel inspired to learn or create, I’m here to help you bring it to life.
