About Tasjia
Tash Reddy, is a woman who has used her pain to define her purpose in life. She broke the glass ceiling at only 22 when she was named the producer of one of the most listened to Drive Time Shows on East Coast Radio. Before her radio career started, she earned an honors degree for film, radio, television and theatre production, working on popular projects. She was mentored by the late Junaid Ahmed, Satish Dhupelia and Kessie Govender. She was also a known as a versatile performer on stage wirh her acting and dance skills as well as on screen.
Her popularity grew further as a journalist for Independent Newspapers and was lauded for her courageous rescue of a 4 month old baby born to a SA drug smuggler in Sao Paulo Prison. She also is widely popular for her controversial columns on IOL.
The sudden loss of her husband at 29, becoming a widow, a single mum to a toddler and pregnant with her second child, made her almost break but she didn't. Instead she took that pain and formed an organization to help widows around the world which she does daily, ensuring their equal rights. A humanitarian at heart but with an intrinsic flair for business and society , Reddy merged her two passions and acts as the Connection for individuals and companies around the world to assist with their daily challenges. Her roles as Global Goodwill Ambassador for the UN endorsed Hind foundation, Global Goodwill Ambassador, South African Ambassador for My Body is My Body, Global Ambassador for Commonwealth Entrepreneur Club, Global Peace Ambassador for INSPAD, a representative for the Human Rights Commission, AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL, Talk Love Foundation among others have given her access to the most prominent dignitaries in the world at large.
