Hi there! I'm April. I am an experienced mathematics tutor with 5 years of teaching experience, specializing in Algebra and Geometry. I previously worked at a tutoring school in Taipei, where I taught international school students across different curricula. About the lesson

My tutoring approach focuses on building strong foundations, clarity, and confidence in mathematics, delivered with a patient and supportive teaching style. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and are guided through concepts at a pace that suits them. I explain concepts step-by-step and break down complex ideas into manageable parts. I emphasize understanding why methods work, not just memorization. Lessons are structured yet flexible, adapting to each student’s learning speed, school curriculum, and areas of difficulty. I am able to teach in English or Mandarin Chinese, which is especially helpful for bilingual students or those transitioning between education systems.   Qualifications & Experience I have 5 years of teaching experience at a tutoring school in Taipei, working with international school students. This experience has strengthened my ability to teach patiently, adapt explanations to different learning styles, and support students with varying levels of confidence and ability. My lessons are suitable for: * Primary School students  * Secondary School students (Years 7–12)  I work well with students who: * Need patient guidance and clear explanations  * Want to build confidence in maths  * Need structured support to keep up with schoolwork  * Prefer learning in English or Mandarin  * Minimum lesson length: 1 hour  This allows enough time for explanation, practice, and review.
