About Paul
Hi, I'm Paul, a Canadian maths tutor based in Sydney, with over 10 years of experience teaching students from primary school through advanced and competition-level maths. I help students strengthen their problem-solving skills, build confidence, and develop a genuine understanding of maths concepts through personalised, structured lessons suited to how they learn.
I hold a Master of Finance from the Schulich School of Business and work with students across all year levels — including HSC and VCE exam preparation — to help them improve both their school results and their confidence going into exams.

My lessons are designed to help students build confidence, strengthen their understanding of maths concepts, and develop strong problem-solving skills in a supportive, low-pressure environment.
I teach primary and high school maths to students of all levels — from those who need extra support to catch up, through to students preparing for HSC or VCE exams, or tackling competition-level maths. Lessons are tailored to each student's year level, learning style, and goals, whether that's a Year 4 student building number confidence or a Year 12 student working through HSC or VCE practice papers.
Lessons usually run 50–60 minutes and include guided practice, worked examples, and review of key concepts, with plenty of room for questions along the way. For students in Year 11 and 12, this can also include past-paper practice and exam technique specific to the HSC or VCE syllabus.
Whether your child needs to build foundational skills, keep up with the school syllabus, or prepare for an upcoming exam, my aim is to make maths clearer, less stressful, and more enjoyable to learn.
