About Sarah

As a passionate and inspiring Maths teacher with 8 years of classroom-teaching experience as well as 15+ years of tutoring experience, I will help you to gain a solid understanding of mathematical concepts, improve your accuracy and become confident at problem-solving. I have 2 years of experience teaching online and am regularly updating my teaching resources and methods to make the learning experience more interactive for my students. I have also worked as an examiner correcting the junior cert paper and have taught maths up to leaving cert.

About the lesson

- Lessons are topic-focused with a clear objective and planned to suit your individual needs. - Contain a mixture of skills practice, problem-solving and past exam questions. - I use a questioning approach which builds on prior knowledge to enable my students to self-discover mathematical concepts. - Extra practice questions will be provided to work on independently to consolidate what has been learned at the end of each lesson. - At the end of 6-8 lessons you will be sent an individualized assessment consisting of past exam questions to check your progress. I will mark and send this back to you with constructive feedback.

Sarah has been teaching my daughter during this academic year for GCSE. Our experience is that she is a really talented maths teacher, who connects so well with my daughter- she is very dedicated and organised. My daughter really has progressed several grades up and has developed a confidence that has been truly astonishing. She is amazing- we have a lot to thank her.

Sarah is an amazing tutor. She is was able to give me an understanding of maths which I was not given in school. She is an amazing maths tutor where her style is thoroughly explaining the topic then doing questions to improve understanding and for practice. I would definitely recommend Sarah as she helped me get an A in my maths A level. I found her through my tutor after stopping tutoring with 2 others because I did not find online tutoring helpful but I found Sarah through my tutor and she was able to make online tutoring effective and enriching.
