About Kyle
I am a 1st Year Chemical Engineering Student at The University of Cape Town (UCT). I believe that everyone needs help, regardless of your qualifications or understanding of the topic. I too, were very much in your situation and in need of a tutor who could help me pass my exams, which is one of the reasons I decided to start tutoring. I want to be able to help those who require it, and I want to be able to do it in a manner that leaves a lasting impression on the rest of your academic career. I achieved 6A's in matric, with distinctions in both Mathematics and Physics/Chemistry. I am well equipped to teach online and possess the resources to make the lesson educational, worthwhile and interesting.

I teach in English only. My expertise lies between Grades 10-12 in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. I am a very patient teacher, who aims at achieving understanding rather than perfection in the Science and Mathematical field. From a typical lesson, you can expect an in-depth explanation paired with many practice problems to solidify the understanding of the section. You can expect detailed explanations, with the openness to questions, thereafter examples on the topic which will be provided by me, and I will happily walk with you through these until a level of understanding is achieved. Both the explanation and practice problems gear students with the ability to avoid common mistakes and tackle more complex problems. Students have the opportunity to go over topics that they find the most challenging which allows for a personalized lesson dependent on the academic needs of the student. My teaching style emphasizes the use of understanding, which allows for a more comfortable and worthwhile lesson.
