About Declan

I am very passionate about math and maintain that the subject becomes needlessly frustrating and uninteresting because of maladapted teaching styles. I graduated high school with a 4.33 GPA. I have flourished in difficult high school courses such as AP BC Calculus, AP Statistics, and AP Physics, as well as college courses like Multivariable calculus and Linear algebra, and can provide indispensable techniques and strategies for students to flourish at and below this level. I am patient and understanding of students' struggles in math, being a student myself, and will establish a dynamic of our working together to reach the students' goals.

About the lesson

-Build understanding in students by progressing from simple examples to difficult concepts step by step.

-Give different ways of understanding concepts and techniques to build confidence.

- Actively work together with students to solve example problems.

-Find ways to approach math creatively to get students asking questions and make the subject seem less monstrous.

For students taking elementary through high school level math courses.
