I am an incoming freshman at the University of Michigan planning to major in mathematics. I took AP Calculus BC and AP Physics C Mechanics in my senior year and received 5s on both tests. Though I have never tutored professionally, I have plenty of experience explaining math topics with my friends and classmates at all levels of the subject.

I go through practice problems with students and try to lead them to discover solutions on their own, rather than giving them solutions. Learning math is more about understanding the right questions to ask than memorizing formulas and equations, and using these methods helps students remember problem solving skills and succeed independently in the future.
