About Selesa
Passion, Expertise, and a Commitment to Engaging Learning As an educator with master’s degrees in both School Administration and Education, I understand the importance of creating a learning environment that is both engaging and effective. My passion for teaching has been recognized at the highest level—I was honored as the North Carolina Elementary Mathematics Teacher of the Year. This achievement reflects my dedication to making math accessible, exciting, and meaningful for students. I believe that students learn best when they are actively engaged. In my classroom, I use hands-on activities, real-world connections, and interactive discussions to bring math to life. I strive to create lessons that not only challenge my students but also inspire a love for learning. When students see the relevance of math in their everyday lives, they develop confidence and a deeper understanding of the subject. With my background in school administration, I also understand how to support and implement effective teaching strategies at a broader level. I am committed to fostering a positive learning culture, not just within my own classroom but throughout the entire school community. Education should be a dynamic experience—one that sparks curiosity, encourages problem-solving, and instills a lifelong love of learning. Through my experience, expertise, and passion, I ensure that learning is not only rigorous but also fun.
