About Darby
With a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Nursing, I had to score above proficient in each course I took. I have done private tutoring and have extensive work with kids of all ages. I am seeking to expand my tutoring career as my favorite thing about working with kids is seeing them accomplish goals and be the best that they can be! I believe that each child learns differently and it is my job to figure out how the child learns best and help them succeed.

I provide personalized, one-on-one math support designed to help middle schoolers bridge the gap between confusion and mastery. My approach is patient, encouraging, and focused on long-term retention. The structure of a typical session is as follows:

- Tackle current school assignments, identifying where the student is getting stuck.
-Using visual aids and real-world examples, we master the why behind the math, not just the how.
-A summary of what was learned and a "game plan" for the upcoming week.
