About Michael

I am a Finance student at the University of Alabama with a strong academic focus on quantitative and analytical problem-solving. Throughout my studies, I have developed a deep appreciation for how mathematics supports decision-making in business, economics, and real-world applications, which allows me to bring both clarity and relevance to every lesson.

I approach tutoring with patience, structure, and professionalism. My goal is not only to help students solve problems correctly, but also to help them understand how and why each method works, so they can apply what they learn independently with confidence. I take pride in creating a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through challenges.

I am highly organized, dependable, and committed to helping each student reach their academic goals, whether that means improving grades, preparing for an exam, or strengthening foundational skills.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed to help students build real confidence and strong problem-solving skills in math, not just memorize formulas. I work with high school and college students in algebra, precalculus, business calculus, and statistics, focusing on breaking down complex concepts into clear, repeatable steps that make difficult problems feel manageable.

A typical session begins by identifying what you are currently working on in class or preparing for on an exam. From there, we walk through the concepts together, practice similar problems, and finish with a strategy you can apply independently. I emphasize understanding the “why” behind each method so students can adapt to new problem types with confidence.

What sets me apart is my ability to connect math to real academic and practical applications, especially for students in business and finance-related fields. Whether you are trying to improve your grades, prepare for an exam, or strengthen your foundation, I tailor each lesson to your specific goals and learning style.
