About Rojin

I am Rojin, a Science tutor with a strong academic background in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Biology and a Master of Management from the University of British Columbia (UBC), as well as a Master of Medical Sciences from Boston University (BU). I am currently preparing to begin medical school.

I have over 5 years of tutoring experience working with students from middle school through university level, including those with different learning styles and special learning needs. I have also supported students in AP-level courses, where I achieved top scores (5/5) in Calculus and related subjects.

My goal is to create a supportive and structured learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and working through challenges. I focus on clear explanations, step-by-step problem solving, and helping students build long-term understanding rather than short-term memorization.

I take my role as a tutor seriously and strive to be reliable, organized, and adaptable to each student’s needs. My priority is to help students improve their performance while also building confidence in their abilities.

About the lesson

My teaching method is structured, adaptive, and focused on building deep conceptual understanding. I break down complex topics in Math, Physics, and Chemistry into clear, step-by-step explanations, then guide students through progressively more challenging problems. I emphasize active learning through questioning, guided practice, and exam-style problem solving rather than passive memorization.

A typical lesson begins with a quick check-in on the student’s current understanding and goals, followed by a focused explanation of the target concept using simple examples. We then move into guided practice problems together, where I coach the student through each step. Finally, I assign targeted practice questions and review strategies for independent study and exam preparation.

What sets me apart is my strong academic background as Rojin, a UBC Science graduate and Boston University Master of Medical Sciences graduate, combined with over 5 years of tutoring experience across a wide range of ages and learning needs, including students with special learning requirements. I also bring experience with AP-level coursework, where I achieved top scores (5/5) in Calculus and related subjects, which helps me teach both foundational and advanced students effectively.

My lessons are designed for middle school, high school, and university students who need support in Math (Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus), Physics, and Chemistry. I work with students at all levels, including those aiming to improve grades, strengthen foundational understanding, or excel in AP and advanced coursework.
