About Elizabeth
I am a private music teacher living in Havelock North, Hawke's Bay working one-to-one with students both from home and in schools. I graduated with a Master's in Cello Performance from the University of Canterbury. Prior to that I obtained an LTCL diploma in Piano Performance and Theory of Music. I am also a registered classroom teacher and a qualified Legal Executive.

I am thorough, dedicated and patient, working with each student individually to achieve their potential. I focus on formal examinations in classical piano and cello as they provide a robust and diverse programme of study.
Prior to these I believe that the foundations of music study are very important (especially correct technique and musical knowledge). Only then, with the 'layering' of these skills, can a student become an autonomous and confident musician, capable of the exploration of a wide range of music.
