About Usama

Hello! I'm a passionate Mathematics tutor with over 6 years of online teaching experience. I have a background in Physics, which has strengthened my analytical thinking and problem-solving skills and deepened my understanding of mathematical concepts.

Over the years, I have worked with students from different backgrounds and ability levels, helping them understand challenging topics, improve their problem-solving skills, and develop greater confidence in mathematics.

I believe every student can improve with the right guidance, patience, and consistent practice. As a tutor, I aim to create a supportive and comfortable learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, learn from their mistakes, and progress at their own pace.

I understand that mathematics can sometimes feel difficult or overwhelming. That's why I focus on explaining concepts clearly, breaking complex problems into manageable steps, and helping students understand the logic behind each solution rather than simply memorising formulae.

I am committed to helping my students make steady progress, strengthen their foundations, and become more independent and confident learners. Whether you need help catching up with your coursework or want to improve your overall performance, I would be happy to support you on your learning journey!

About My Lessons

My goal is to make mathematics easier to understand and help students build confidence in solving problems independently. With over 6 years of online tutoring experience, I have worked with students of different ages and ability levels, helping them strengthen their concepts and improve their problem-solving skills.

My teaching methodology

I use an interactive, student-centred approach tailored to each student's learning needs. Rather than simply explaining formulae, I break down difficult concepts into simple, manageable steps. We solve problems together, discuss questions, clear up confusion, and practise different types of questions to reinforce understanding. I also use short practice quizzes to assess progress and identify areas that need more attention.

What to expect in my lessons

Each lesson is structured around the student's goals, current understanding, and areas of difficulty. We can work on school coursework, homework, strengthening fundamental concepts, practising exam-style questions, and preparing for tests. I encourage students to ask questions freely and learn at a comfortable pace.

Lessons typically last 60 minutes, providing enough time to explain concepts, work through examples, and practise problems together.

Who are my lessons for?

I teach school students across different grade levels and ability ranges, from those who need help building strong mathematical foundations to those who want to improve their grades and prepare for exams. Whether you are struggling with a particular topic or aiming to strengthen your overall maths skills, I will work with you to make learning more effective and enjoyable.

My aim is not just to help students get the right answers, but to help them understand the reasoning behind them and become more confident, independent problem-solvers.
