About Elmi
As a senior engineer, I bring a disciplined, self-directed mindset and my coding skills to every lesson. My approach is rooted in the belief that every technical challenge has a solution; my role is to equip you with the diverse mental frameworks required to find the most efficient route to that solution

My Teaching Method: I don't believe in simple memorization. Whether we are tackling a Calculus derivative or a Python loop, I like to focus on breaking the problems down into their most basic, undeniable truths.
I like to explain abstract math, or STEM problems as a whole, using architecture diagrams, drawing visuals, or giving real world examples, so my students find either the purpose or reason behind the solution for the problem.
A Typical Lesson Plan (60 Minutes)
I follow a structured "Sprint" model to ensure every minute is high-value:
(5 mins) We review the previous lesson’s pain points and address any immediate "roadblocks" from school or work.
(20 mins) I introduce the new topic using a real world examples. (For example, if we are learning Statistics, I might show how I use those concepts in Machine Learning).
(25 mins) We solve problems together. However, I will slowly start to "fade out" my support, until the student is driving the solution entirely on their own.
(10 mins) We summarize the "Big Idea" of the day and I provide additional resources (documentation, practice problems, or code snippets) for the week ahead.
What Sets Me Apart?
As a Software Engineer at P&G and currently pursuing a Master’s in Machine Learning, I use this math and logic every single day in a professional environment. I bring a high level of industry standard to my lessons, teaching students not just how to get an "A," but how to write clean code, document their logic, and approach problems with the rigor required by top-tier tech companies.
Who the Lessons Are For
I specialize in helping students who want to bridge the gap between "knowing" and "doing." My lessons are ideal for:
High School Students: AP Calculus (AB/BC), AP Physics, and AP Computer Science.
College Students: Discrete Math, Linear Algebra, Data Structures, and Intro to AI/ML.
Career Switchers: Individuals looking to break into Tech or IT (specifically helping with CompTIA A+/Network+ certifications).
Middle Schoolers: Advanced math tracks for students looking for a competitive edge.
