About Sara
I have a degree (BA) and a Masters (MA) in Christian Education. I also have a Bachelor of Education (BEd) in elementary education. I am an elementary school teacher with over 7 years of teaching experience and two years of tutoring experience. I enjoy working with individuals to help them improve academically and maximize their full potential.

My teaching methods are based on a constructivist approach in which students are equipped to build on prior knowledge to gain knew insights and understanding. I base my instruction on the needs of the individual that I am working with to determine where they are at academically and the teaching method that is required.
I approach teaching with great respect for my practice and my students. I believe it is important to be organized and prepared while also having the flexibility to take advantage of teachable moments that are not planned but are important opportunities to teach for meaning and understanding.
I think learning should be an enjoyable experience not stressful. Every student learns at their own pace and to their own strengths. For myself the key to success is to learn the best practice for teaching the individual student.
